Tapletop

Over the past two decades (and change), I have been building up a personal library of familiarity and favoritism with various settings and systems throughout the TTRPG gamespace. Below, you will find a listing of my personal favorites (in no particular order). You can expect posts of table-reports, flash fiction, homebrew, and supplemental lore for any of these settings and systems on the page.

Dungeons & Dragons
Getting this one out of the way, because it's expected and just about required. It's the world's most popular role-playing game for a reason, right? I won't get into edition wars with folks. 5e is here to stay, at least for a while, and I don't mind one bit.

Savage Worlds
One of my favorite 'universal systems', especially when running a setting that is extremely pulpy. Achtung! Cthulhu remains a long-time favorite in Savage Worlds, as it gives the Indiana Jones + Hellboy vibes we all secretly like.

Cyberpunk RED
I remember playing Cyperpunk 2020 back in high school, thinking I was the coolest, edgiest cat around. I have returned to the fold only recently (as I am sure many of us did after 2077), but the community of Cyberpunk has been nothing short of breathtaking

World of Darkness
Very near and dear to my heart, World of Darkness sits up there as far as favorites go, if only because of the gift of time. I've been in the same long-running Werewolf: The Apocalypse (20th anniversary) Chronicle for almost five years, meeting once a week, every week. The group has been a rare gift, and if you are reading this either as the game is running strong or sometime down the line, y'all were the best.

Naturally, Werewolf: The Apocalypse is the superior splat. I am 100% biased, don't @ me, Leeches.

Call of Cthulhu
You can't have talks of urban fantasy, horror, and pulp without talking about Call of Cthulhu, and Delta Green, by extension. CoC has, without a doubt, some of the best published adventures out there.

Is there a favorite game of your own that you don't see here? Feel free to make suggestions in the comments.

Note: No, I will never look into FATAL.
